How’d you get started in the industry?
As I was finishing my college degree at the University of Utah in 2004, I built the original Impatient Cow website (using Flash!), and when they found out I was also studying video editing and animation, they interviewed me for the position of Post-Production Supervisor. I’ve been here since.
What’s your favorite part of your job? What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The amazing team I get to work with on a daily basis is what keeps me going, as well as the wide variety of types of projects. I also enjoy the challenge of managing the constantly shifting schedules and expectations, and developing my skills at client interaction and collaboration.
Where can we find you on a long weekend?
Winter: wrapped in a cozy blanket reading a book with a cat on my lap
Summer: out in the garden or riding my bike around town
What’s the key to a smooth production?
Communication, flexibility, and no egos.
