Byron Kirkland

Byron Kirkland is a Cinematographer with a keen eye for lighting and composition. Growing up in Southern California, his father was a director and producer in the animation industry, which deeply influenced his passion for storytelling through moving images. He shoots with heart; leaving an emotional imprint on every frame. On set, time and money are precious resources. Byron can work quickly without sacrificing quality. He has years of experience doing handheld camera work and often utilizes a visual aesthetic he calls “Cine-Doc” combining the grounded feel of documentary while achieving the visual finesse of a big budget project. His extensive knowledge of ever-changing camera equipment is vital in choosing the correct camera package for the job. His easy-going nature and “can-do” attitude helps every set reach its full potential.
